MOMS Club® of South Windsor, CT ACTIVITIES |
Monthly Socials: All members are urged to attend our monthly meetings. This is when our members get together to discuss and vote on club business and chapter issues. Also, following club "business" we often have a guest speaker. Book Club: Discontinued Member Support Committee: This group organizes assistance and support for fellow members in time of need (such as illness or birth of a new baby). The support may be as simple as sending a card, putting together a gift basket, or preparing and delivering meals. Want more info? Mail Buddies: Would your child like to receive mail? Then this is the activity for them! Mail Buddies will give them the excitement of receiving and sending mail from children of other club members. Play Groups: Play groups rotate weekly among the members' houses. If you would like to join a play group, please contact our Play Group Coordinator. HOOT & HOWLS: (Husbands Out Of Town and Husbands Who Work Late): If you want to join the list of Husbands Out Of Town (HOOT), please notify the coordinator when your husband is away and we can set up a play date or play group with other moms who are in the same situation. You will also be notified when other members' husbands are out of town. Mentor Program: Experienced members are coupled with fresh, new members. While helping to personalize the club to new members, mentors offer the opportunity to attend events together, answer questions (or knowing where to get the answers), initiate new ideas and gain positive appreciation for extending their practical advice. The goal is to share the knowledge and spirit of the MOMS Club to the next generation of leaders. and, last but not least, MOMS Night Out: this is a monthly event for us MOMS.
